Since 1998 the Esquilino in Rome, has become a neighborhood increasingly "multi-ethnic".
The documentary focuses the eye on the central square Vittorio Emanuele, including significant aspects of everyday life, cultural, social and political, with reference to relations between Italian residents and new residents of foreign origin.
Despite the conflicting problems, this place is gradually becoming a place in the world, where people of different continents, colors and religions try and find a cohabitation mode. It is examined for a period of four years (1998-2002).

The film presents a view against the current conventional documentaries on Immigrants.
