World's Square

The Immigrants don't create the problems of the world,
the problems of the world create the Immigrants

Documentary. Duration 52 minutes. Production 2003.

Since 1998 the district Esquilino in Rome, became a district increasingly multi-ethnic. The documentary focuses on the central square of the district, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele and the significant cultural, social and political aspects of daily life, paying particular attention to the relations between Italian residents and immigrants new residents. It appears that, despite the problems because of conflicts, this square is becoming a real "world square" where people of differents continents, colors and religions, seek a way of increasing civil coexistence.
